A new website brings discounted cuisine at some of the country’s finest restaurants to budget conscious diners.  Savored (formerly VillageVines) gives its members access to insider pricing with the most popular restaurants across the United States. Membership is free.  With its unique way of partnering with restaurants, members enjoy a dining experience that is more convenient and more affordable than other deals sites. In the first place, there is no coupon.   Members reserve their tables through the Savored website for $10 per reservation.   A 30% discount is automatically applied to your bill. No coupons or fine print – only guaranteed savings. If the total savings of your party does not exceed the booking fee, Savored will refund the price of the reservation.   You can change or cancel your reservation up until 2 hours before the scheduled time. Of course, these discounts cannot be combined with any other deal or promotion.  Restaurants ask that you please calculate tip based on the pre-discounted bill so that the discount comes out of their budget and not that of your server. Currently, Savored offers discounts in ten cities: New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Boston, Miami, Atlanta, Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The website is well organized, making it easy to find just the right restaurant.  You can search for restaurants in your choice of neighborhood and then by:

• Cuisine--American, Asian, European French Global Indian Italian Latin Mediterranean Mexican  and Spanish
• Price—The site rates prices by the dollar sign icon.  The more dollar signs, the higher the menu price. For example,  $ is under $20 per person; $$ indicates an average cost of $21-40 per person,  $$$ is $41-70 per person and restaurants with $$$$ will cost more than $70 per person.
• Scenes—These designations describe the atmosphere.  A restaurant usually is rated by more than one scene. The choices include: All Wined, Up Authentic Favorites, Chic & Trendy, Cozy & Casual, Creative Libations, Dating Destination, Daytime Dining, Exotic Eats Gather The Group, Sophisticated Setting, and Top Chef.

To help you choose, Savory has partnered with Zagat, the restaurant rating and review service.  Every restaurant on the site is rated by the Savored staff, Zagat, and has comparison reviews from regional magazines, newspapers and rating services. To help build the website’s membership base, current members are rewarded with $10 in credit to use for the next reservation when they refer friends who reserve and dine through Savored.
